- Thornbury High launched the school’s new online past students (Alumni) web site on July 16th at the reunion of the class of 2008
- Current indications point to a 33% increase in enrolments at year 7 for 2010
- Thornbury is the top school in the District Athletics with our junior and senior girls winning their age group
- Thornbury receives $200,000 from the Federal government for a Trade Training Centre for Hospitality
- Two year 12 students receive close to $45,000 each from the Dafydd Lewis Trust (for Engineering and Medical Radiation)
- Thornbury High is part of a $11million cluster for a range of trades
- The School and Furlan Club sponsored bushfire appeal raises over $2000
- 14 new staff appointed as school population grows by over 100 students
- Latest student survey results places the school in the top 5% in the State for student motivation, learning confidence, connectedness, student morale and teacher effectiveness
- Excellent staff survey results with all but one category in the top 25% and the highest ranking, effective discipline policy, in the top 5% of state secondary schools
